everything was super, very friendly and helpful stuff speaking good english, spacious rooms, nice design

a bit far from the old city and the night market, however it just takes a few munites to get to the hotel by tuk-tuk (we paid usually 60-80 bath). If the price is ok for you, it maybe the best choice for Chiang May (although we have not stayed in any other hotel of the same category).

The building design and the surrounds. The swimming pool and the library were welcoming and relaxing

The staff were very attentive and there seemed to be a lot of them. This is good if you don't like doing anything for yourself however i like to be left to my own devices

Quiet but still central located hotel with a nice colonial theme without stretching it too much. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. From the rooms to the staff, everything was great.

I stayed both in the smaller deluxe rooms and in the grand deluxe rooms with jacuzzi. In my opinion the room with the jacuzzi is not really worth the extra money (40 percent in my case)

The amazing architecture made this hotel experience so unique. The staff was 5 star.

Nothing bad I can say. Would be nice to have a clock in the room though.

If the management closed the porches leading to the rooms with glasses, this would cut down the noise from traffic that during certain hours of the day can be a bit disturbing

I think it is quite expensive, the facilities provided is below the money you pay for.

    Very good

The hotel has a colonial era charm. Fantastic size room and very well equipped. Well maintained.

Very disappointed with the quality of food served in the restaurant. Nice restaurant but spoilt by the food. Over our many days in Thailand, we must rate the food ate at the Ping Ankara the worst unfortunately. Mosquitoes unfortunately seems to residents of the hotel. No avoiding them.

We loved the smaller hotel which still included all of the facilities we required. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the quiet and stylish environment provided us with the accommodation we had hoped for. The room was spacious, clean, stylish and organised and had all of the equipment necessary for a comfortable stay. Anything we asked about was dealt with efficiently. The restaurant , albeit not large in size, provided a good variety of local cuisine and also offered typical foods you enjoy on a vacation. The only one point I could make was that they should provide more of a variety of fruit at breakfast. The small plate on offer on the buffet table could have been better. We loved the hotel and would definitely go there again if we are in Chiang Mai! We also enjoyed the spa facility - it was small but we both had a good experience with our choice of treatment.

I can not think of anything we did not like!! It was all a positive experience for us! Centrally located, lovely surroundings and nice staff!

The hotel design is incredible: the rooms are fantastic and well-maintained and an oasis of calm in bustling Chiang Mai. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The pool, lounge and library areas were beautiful and very well designed. Facing the balcony and the rooms away from the street was a brilliant idea and as a result our room was very quiet. The furnishings, artwork, building materials and design are all quite beautiful. Ping Nakara is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, weekend break or just a quiet stay in bustling Chiang Mai. It was near perfect in every way, and in the future we will only stay at Ping Nakara when we visit Chiang Mai!

Nothing really. Except there were a lot of mosquitoes everywhere on the hotel grounds. We found a lot of mosquitoes everywhere in Chiang Mai though, due to the Ping River and the season. But the mosquitoes, for example, were around even the daytime and made it difficult to enjoy or lunch or relax by the pool.

I chose this hotel from the internet. I googled 5 star hotels in Chiang Mai. I liked the look of the Ping Nakara Hotel. It is a colonial styled boutique hotel and looked very elegant. It was well located but at the same time in a quiet area. The staff were very friendly and professional. We booked the hotel's vintage mercedes to pick us up from the airport which added to the ambience of our stay. The hotel is very well priced for what you get. The rooms are very clean and beautifully furnished. The only negative, and I am being very picky, is that the only rooms available with twin beds are the deluxe rooms which are the smallest rooms in the property. I would have liked to have had one of the larger rooms. However the room was adequate in size. Thailand was celebrating their Songkran Festival(New Year, also known as the Water Festival) during our stay. On the morning of the main day the hotel left a water pistol, bucket and a couple of waterproof bags outside our room for our use. I might add that they were needed. If you didn't know what the festival was about then you would be very surprised indeed when walking along the street and the locals hosed you down or threw buckets of water at you. It was all good fun. The hotel staff laughed when I squirted them with my water pistol. Overall a very enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend it.

The only negative was no twin beds in the larger rooms.
